Protocol Detail Report

The Protocol Detail Report provides reports that provide insight into the nature of your network traffic. It incorporates three sub-reports:

  • Top Protocols report, showing which protocols are using a large percentage of traffic;
  • Top Devices report, showing which devices are using a large percentage of traffic; and
  • Top Traffic Classifications, showing which broad types of classification are using a large percentage of traffic.

All three reports are graphed over a variable period of time, graphs can be requested over a period of time ranging from hour up to a year. The interface allows you to concentrate on a single report, or further specify only a single variable from a report.

Left-hand Navigation Panel > Reports > Protocol Detail Report

The Protocol Detail Report application has features that can be used to view reports and export reports in PDF format. Crystal Eye administrators can also define the time period for which the report is required through the Date Range dropdown. Thus by zeroing down to a particular time period range the report can be used to point out irregularities in the CE network.
